Our mission is to create authentic holidays that make guests truly happy. Here in Spain (https://www.hapimag.com/en-gb/germany/), we operate 13 resorts and Houseboats Müritz, with over 130 employees during peak season.

What you can expect

Reporting to the Chief Financial Office (CFO) of Hapimag AG, you will be responsible for the financial, administrative and legal management of the German subsidiary.

  • Personnel management of the local finance and accounting and HR team (team of 4)
  • Responsibility for the following areas: accounting, taxes, controlling, HR and contracts.
  • Monthly and annual reporting to the Headquarters.
  • Oversee all general HR matters and lead the country-level implementation of our corporate HR strategy.
  • Ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Representation of the German subsidiary vis-à-vis external authorities and external stakeholders as well as with the president of our German board
  • Sparring partner for the resort managers of the 13 locations in Germany, country head of operations and headquarters
  • Responsible for all questions regarding our German subsidiary

What you bring along

  • Experience in comparable positions in Germany for at least five years
  • Track record ideally in either of the following industries: Retail, Consumer, Hospitality, Manufacturing, Services, Real Estate
  • Experience in SAP (FI/CO) is a plus
  • Solid knowledge of taxation and German law 
  • GAAP and financial reporting knowledge
  • Used to independent and professional preparation of local annual financial statements
  • Used to manage and expand a small team
  • Advanced IT literacy, in particular use of spreadsheets
  • Fluent in German and English (must-have)
  • University degree in Business Administration/Management (ideally with Major in Accounting)
  • CPA (or local equivalent) is a plus.
