Are you a handy person with broad technical knowledge and an eye for detail? We are looking for an enthusiastic and independent Maintenance Technician/Handyman to strengthen our team in Amsterdam. You will be responsible for maintaining our 26 comfortable apartments in the historic canal ring and ensuring everything is in top condition for our guests.

Your Tasks and Responsibilities:

• General Maintenance of Apartments and Property, including:
  • Regularly checking the maintenance condition of apartments and the property.
  • Performing small repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Painting walls and ceilings.
  • Replacing lamps, fixtures, and light switches.
  • Repairing or replacing items like siphons and float valves.
  • Replacing batteries in electronic doors.
  • Checking and adjusting door closers.
  • Hanging shelves and other interior components.
  • Repairing diverse interior parts like hinges, and table legs.
  • Assembling furniture.
  • Refilling boilers and bleeding heating systems.
• Technical Systems:
  • Checking technical installations and ensuring good maintenance.
  • Reporting system defects or leaks to the supervisor.
• Other Tasks:
  • Working independently according to planning and taking responsibility.
  • Contacting the supervisor directly in case of major problems.
  • Prioritizing repairs and resolving malfunctions quickly.
  • Being part of the team.
  • Participating in department meetings and briefings.
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and tidy workplace.
  • Participating in technical and safety training.
  • Complying with all safety regulations and using personal protective equipment.
  • Reporting defective equipment or hazardous situations to the employer.
  • Conducting technical inspections, performing preventive maintenance, and resolving technical and operational problems.
  • Complying with local and company regulations.
  • Overseeing NEN-inspections, and the corresponding planning.
